I do travel photography, cityscape and landscape. I got into that specifically, when me and my wife started a 5-months road trip through Europe, searching for a new home for us. We’re from Romania, which is beautiful, but the winters are too cold.

I have visited and stayed in these countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Holland, Spain and Poland.

Since I was a little kid, I liked cameras. All of the times I went to events with my parents, everyone gave me the camera to take pictures or videos. I recorded weddings and baptisms for family members. Even some of them who got married, separated and got married again. I was their go to person to photograph and video tape their moments!

I loved cameras, even broken ones, I would open them up so I could see how they worked. One of my friends knew about this passion and gave me an old Lubitel camera his dad owned. My first camera and I love it; I still have it! That’s way before I got my first digital camera. I’m not about camera brands, more like I’m a fan of gear that I can take pictures with.

Travel photography gives me a large area of subcategories to play around. The journeys are more like “an excuse” to do more of everything. Don’t get me wrong: travel photography isn’t just for convenience, it’s my passion, I want to go to Africa, Asia, South America and… everywhere!

What me and my wife do, this thing with travelling… and photography… and waking up super early in the morning to get the sunrise… all of this gives me a freedom, which otherwise I wouldn’t be able to feel if I were staying in just one place. It’s like a cheesy line from a Vin Diesel movie: “you can’t keep a lion in a cage”, or he loses the spark in his eye. That’s how I am: I feel the need to always be on the move, I need movement in my life. Otherwise I get bored of the same places, the same people, the same everything.

I’m sharing my best photographs in the portfolio pages. I keep this updated, so make sure to visit it often!
